Three Often Overlooked Guidelines For Article Submission

By Dave D.

Writing articles for article directory submission has always thought to be an easy task. If you think you can just write and submit whatever you want to; well think again. You would just be wasting your time if you do not intend to write a high quality article and maximize your exposure.

Here are 3 guidelines for you to ponder on before you start on your next project for article submission:

Guideline No.1 - Write to inform
You must clearly understand the difference between the reason to write to inform and the reason for writing to promote them. The three most benefit you get from writing to promote them are for lead generation, promotion and branding but there is only one single reason to why you would write articles and that is to inform your audience. Your article should only be focused on this purpose alone: write to inform and not write to promote. The promotional benefits will come when you have an informative article and people want to read it. This would then draw them to your resource box and increase your sites traffic.

Guideline No.2 - Maximizing the power of article marketing
Article submission can provide you with additional back links to your web site but the other main advantages are you can achieve better search engine results and also get more visitors to your site. Take advantage of this by using keywords at the right places in your article. Try to maintain a keyword density of about 2% to be safe. If your article is compelling it may be used by a publisher with a large number of visitors and this will bring you additional traffic and better search engine ranking. Article marketing will not bring you any profits but it is one of the many factors that can increase your earning potential. The more targeted traffic you have, the more conversions you will be able to produce. Lay out a strategy for your article-marketing plan so you do not lose focus of your goal.

Guideline No.3 - Publish useful content
You may think that any content will do as long as you get back links to your site and any visitors generated is fine but not all of the article directories are going to publish your article without first screening them. They often have submission guidelines, which must be followed. Failure to do so may get your articles rejected. Writing articles which have useful content will almost certainly be accepted by most article banks and this increases the number of article directories you can submit to. All that is needed is a publisher with a high traffic website to increase your potential visitor overnight.

If you want your article marketing to work for you, write articles that stick to the submission guidelines, research on the topics, crossed checked for spelling error and if you have the budget-hire a ghostwriter to write good content for you. In conclusion, the amount of traffic you wish to enjoy depends on you. Useful content equals higher traffic and basic content equals little traffic.
